MIST Cultural Fairs
(2006 and 2007)
In 2006 and 2007 we have arranged cultural fairs at our school to
increase the international understanding in the school, among our
students. We have invited the embassies of different countries to our
school to introduce their countries and we charged students to help
preparing the country stands. The fairs were really effective and useful
a lot.
MIST Academic (Project) Fair (2006
and 2008)
In 2005-06 Academic Year science department organised a Science Fair at
our school. Students presented their science projects to the visitors.
In this 2007-08 Academic Year we are organising an academic fair at our
school. Our students are going to present their projects in different
subjects such as; Physics, Chemistry, Math, English, Albanian, History,
Geography etc. Our parents are invited to the fair.
THE TICKET SYSTEM (GOOD BEHAVIOR
SYSTEM)
The ticket system
is a character devolopment system. Positive behavior in schools
is something that needs recognition. We are trying to recognize our
school students who are being positive.
We have developed tickets that the
teachers give the students who are going above and beyond the typical
middle school behavior. This project would mean so much to the students
at our school.
It would help build school spirit
and pride, and teach the students how to behave. It would give the
students who are on the edge an incentive, and reinforce the good
behavior of the students who already know how to act.

Each semester at least two parents
- teachers meeting arranged at the school, during which parents and
teachers have chance to discuss about students' academic progress and
the things that could be done to increase the success of students.

HOME VISITS
Strengthening the Partnership
between Family and School
Educational research indicates that the more engaged a parent is with
their child’s education the greater the chance a child will learn and
experience a higher level of success. Furthermore, the research also
indicates that to foster a respectful student- teacher relationship,
which is an essential component to advance learning, a teacher should be
knowledgeable of a student’s background and unique interests.
Home visits generally do not exceed an hour. All
teachers and administrators visit the homes of three students during the
course of the school year. Visits are mutually agreed upon and scheduled
with the parents of the students.
CHARITY ACTIVITIES
The members of the Charity Club at
our school organises charity activities to help poor people.
Recently, they have collected
toys, clothes, books etc. which were not used by the students and these
materials have given to poor people who need them.
Mrs. Berisha have visited our
school to promote the charity activities of the club. Everybody at the
school was very happy to see Mrs. Berisha at our school.
