MIST has the
following facilities:
Kindergarten:
Kindergarten is placed in the 1st floor of the building.
Sleep
room: Sleep room is
placed next to the kindergarten class with suitable beds for children.
Playroom: Play room
is next to the sleep room. There variety of toys and equipments for
different games.
Primary
and secondary classes:
Classes range from Year 1 to Year 11 (Year 12 starts in 2008-09) and vary in number of students from
7 to 12. Classes from Year 1 to Year 6 are on the 1st floor and Year 7
to Year 11 are on the 2nd floor. The average student-teacher ratio is
4:1.
 
Science
laboratories: A
science laboratory for primary clases is fully equipped with workbenches
and up to date equipment. There are also Physics and Chemistry-Biology
Laboratories for the secondary classes.
Computer labs:
There are two computer labs having individual workstations for
students, a TV and a network system linking all the computers in the IT
room.
Art and
Music rooms: Art
and Music rooms have been established on to let the pupils work more
comfortably with materials of art and musical instruments.
Media
rooms: Media rooms
are prepared for the students with a DVD player, a projection, a sound
system and variety of audio-visual material.
Library: The
library is stocked with a variety of reading and reference books in
English and Albanian.
TV sets
and computers in all classrooms:
Each primary and secondary school class is equipped with a TV set and
computer since they may need them any time.
Outside
play area: There is
an outside play area where students play ballgames during the breaks.
There are three basketball-football-volleyball fields outside school.
Two of them are open and one of them is closed.
Lunch
area: On the ground
floor there is a large area with tables and chairs for the students' use
during lunch time.
Medical
room with a doctor:
A full time doctor is employed by the school and can be found in the
consulting room on the first floor.
Public
Relations/Secretary:
School secretary is able to
communicate in English and Albanian and serves also as a translator in
these two languages when necessary.
Computerized administration:
The administration is linked to a computer network system and has
complete computer facilities including printer, e-mail, and limitless
internet access.
Teacher’s Room: The
teacher’s room is located on the 2nd floor.
Trained
teachers: All the
teachers have some years of experience in their own fields. The majority
have completed university courses with components in Education. British,
American, Canadian, Albanian and Turkish trained teachers have
university degrees, postgraduate teaching qualifications or master
degrees.
