Memorial
International School of Tirana has 199 students from more
than 22 different nationalities. Among the parents, some
speak Russian as their native language.
MIST hosted
a luncheon for “Russian-Speaking Ladies Living in Tirana” on
March 8th, 2011. Those in attendance were from many
different countries such as the Russian Federation, Moldova,
Ukraine, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Bulgaria, Kyrgyzstan,
Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Mrs. Natalia Abramova, the
spouse of the Russian Ambassador to Albania, was invited as
the Guest of Honor. She expressed her congratulations for
“International Women’s Day” and emphasized the great role of
women in social life. The purpose of the engagement was to
promote networking and build acquaintances among
international women.
