The elementary division at
Memorial International School of Tirana (MIST) currently consists of
classes from Year One to Year Five with approximately 90 students
enrolled. MIST strives to provide the highest quality of education for
these students using international standards in a multicultural
community. The curriculum is taught in English and the subjects offered
for this division include English, Mathematics, Science, Art, Music,
Physical Education and ICT. Albanian nationals are offered Albanian
Language. The students in Year Five are offered French as a secondary
language.
The learning environment offered at MIST is unique. The class sizes are
relatively small with each class limited to a maximum of eighteen
students. A teacher assistant is available to students of the
grades 1-2 to assist students new to learning the English language. The
facilities available to the elementary students also help to support a
diverse learning atmosphere and student learning within this
environment.
